Dante's Accepted 2024 CalArts Portfolio!!
Hellooooooo!!!! My name is Dante, and I was recently accepted into the Calarts character animation program for 2024! This portfolio is a mix of life drawings (including nude ones, you have been forewarned), observationals, and creative works.
Keep in mind that this was my first time applying, and some people have to apply three or even four times before they get accepted, so I don't know how much weight my advice holds. Additionally, everything I say here is pure speculation, because I can't read the minds of portfolio reviewers and will never truly know why I got accepted. In this collection, I'll still be explaining why I included certain pieces and giving any advice based on the things I know Calarts likes to see in their applicants.
